Intended to be worn right against the skin, the 1st layer of clothing is an essential element in a heat-control system.
SOFILETA Activewear has designed light, high-performance products for the 1st layer. Diverse microfibres enter the make-up of these products. Combined with a specific treatment, these microfibres immediately absorb sweat. It is then spread by capillary action to ensure it dries quickly.
During periods of intense effort, the skier or walker perspires. When they ease off, their body cools down rapidly. The 1st layer of clothing must therefore evacuate the sweat as quickly as possible to avoid them feeling cold.
As it is intended to be worn against the body, the 1st layer must act as a second skin. All the fabrics developed for the 1st layer by SOFILETA Activewear are stretch, guaranteeing optimal comfort and complete freedom of movement. They are also made up of very fine microfibres, which are both pleasant to the touch and resistant.
To avoid the discomfort caused by odours of perspiration, SOFILETA Activewear offers a range of antibacterial 1st layer products. SOFILETA Activewear’s laboratory-tested technology is perfectly hypoallergenic. It is wash-resistant, therefore guaranteeing a permanent antibacterial effect.

2nd layer clothing is principally intended to maintain the wearer’s warmth when they ease off. It must therefore be sufficiently breathable to effectively evacuate perspiration during periods of effort. Then, in good weather, it can be used without additional protection.

These high-performance components are the result of the combination of extremely fine microfibres and a specific style of stitching which captures the air, forming an insulating barrier.
Laboratory tests have shown that SOFILETA Activewear’s thermal knitted fabrics retain more than 2.5 times as much heat as a classic PA knitted fabric of the same weight.
