Mr Francois Fillon, French Prime Minister, and Mrs Christine Lagarde, Economy and Finance Minister, meet SOFILETA
Mr Francois Fillon, French Prime Minister, and Mrs Christine Lagarde, Economy and Finance Minister, were in Grenoble on the 24th September 2008, to confirm their support to the French Technology clusters. They were hosted by the Grenoble MINALOGIC cluster (Micro and Nano Technologies). The program of printed electronics on flexible plastic substrate was selected as example of technology innovation program for SME of Minalogic, and presented to Mr Francois Fillon and Mrs Lagarde. This program illustrates commitment of SOFILETA for high technology developments for technical textiles and fabrics of future (smart textiles and fabrics), integrating new materials.
Mr Francois Fillon was also able to try the fire fighter jacket with sensors of the European program PROETEX, including SOFILETA as one of the main partners. This jackets includes a GPS module, temperature sensors, a visual alarm, a textile antenna, a flexible battery and a WiFi communication module. SOFILETA is an industrial leader in technical textiles for individual protective equipment (protection against fire and chemical agents, high visibility), supporting active technology innovation strategy for integration of new functionalities (including electronics) for smart clothes of the future.
